A Modern Fairytale Wedding at Castle Farms – Charlevoix, MI

As soon as I visited Castle Farms I knew this was the place I wanted to get married. Castle Farms perfectly captured the Cinderella vibes I wanted for my big day and it also checked the box of being a destination wedding. We were married on Friday July 5th (which also happens to be my dad’s birthday). Having our wedding on a Friday helped us save some money and it also allowed us to take advantage of spending the rest of the weekend relaxing up north.

I hadn’t quite gotten the event planning bug yet, so my mom Vicki naturally stepped into full planner mode and took care of the logistics of the big day. But looking back we definitely wished we had hired a full service planner. This was the first wedding had worked on in Northern Michigan, so dealing with the logistics was a challenge. Booking appointments in trip increments was a life saver! We also attended the Castle Farms bridal show which helped us nail down a lot of our vendors.
